Blue Steel Development Appoints Kelly Mills as Senior Vice President of Development
Chicago, IL – October 5, 2026 – Blue Steel Development (“BSD”), a vertically integrated industrial real estate developer, today announced that Kelly Mills has joined the firm as Senior Vice President of Development. Based in the company’s Chicago-area office, Mills will lead entitlement and permitting and oversee the planning and delivery of new industrial projects as BSD grows its national platform.

Blue Steel Development Advances Steel 4 North, a ±1.6 Million-Square-Foot Industrial Development Along Central Florida’s I-4 Corridor
PLANT CITY, Fla. – September 22, 2026 – Blue Steel Development has reached a significant milestone at Steel 4 North, a ±1.6 million-square-foot industrial development along Central Florida’s I-4 corridor in Plant City. The company assembled the land in 2022 and 2023 and subsequently secured entitlements for up to ±1.6 million square feet of warehouse and industrial space. Horizontal development commenced in March 2026, with building pads completed September 1 and utilities now stubbed to the parcel boundaries.

MANDEVILLE, L.A. - September 9, 2026 - Blue Steel Development announced today that construction is progressing on Steel 12 Building 1, a 200,555-square-foot Class A industrial facility at Gulf South Commerce Park in Mandeville, as Louisiana Economic Development (LED) finalizes a $2 million FastSites investment to expand the park's development-ready site inventory.

CLAYTON, N.C. - February 10, 2026 - Blue Steel Development today announced the groundbreaking of Steel 70, a new three-building industrial campus along the Clayton Boulevard corridor in Clayton, North Carolina. The approximately $50 million development will deliver 346,400 square feet of modern, market-ready industrial space designed to serve logistics, warehousing, distribution, and light industrial users.

MANDEVILLE, LA - February 2, 2026 - Blue Steel Development has acquired approximately ±12.55 acres at Gulf South Commerce Park in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, for the development of Steel 12 - Building 1, a ±200,555-square-foot speculative Class A industrial warehouse. The land acquisition closed in Q2 2026, with construction set to begin in May 2026 and delivery anticipated in Q1 2027.
