Matt Hubert

Matt serves as the Executive Vice President of Development for Blue Steel Development (BSD), where he leads the company’s national development platform and oversees site selection, design, and execution of industrial projects across key U.S. markets. With more than two decades of experience in industrial real estate, he brings a proven track record of sourcing and delivering more than $1.5 billion in speculative and build-to-suit developments nationwide.

Before joining BSD, Matt held senior leadership roles at two nationally recognized industrial development firms, where he guided multi-market expansion efforts and managed leasing operations for a 20-million-square-foot portfolio spanning 35 states. Throughout his career, he has completed transactions with a wide range of leading industrial users, including Mondelez, XPO Logistics, McLane Foods, Atkore International, and Rockwell Automation.

Matt and his wife, Julie, live in the Chicago area, along with their two children, Tommy and Neala.

Educational Background

Matt earned his MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business and his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.
